As promised, a few color picts are posted below from Rachel and Nathan’s event.
I’ve just wrapped up weddings for Lindsey and Chris plus Ruth and Shady. I hope to have picts from those in the coming weeks. Lots of fun creative capture.
Thanks for visiting.

Sorry it’s been so long since my last post. I’ve just been busy. About 2 weeks back now I had the honor of being able to photograph Nathan and Rachel’s wedding. The day was a delight to be apart of and the day was full of surprising capture. This was my second time to shoot in this church; the first time was when I worked with Brian and Grace Kim. I went into this wedding really striving to not recycle the great moments from my first wedding here and wanted to offer these friends photos that were unique to them and this special day. Nathan and Rachel were so easy to work with. One of the most relaxed couple I’ve worked with yet. They were really great in putting forth some effort and even a little hard work to climb a rock wall for a really dynamic photo that can be seen on my main site – www.underpinphotography.com. I can’t fail to mention my tireless assistant Lydia, with out the aid of her honda civic as a step ladder that shot would have never happened. Needless to say you can’t rock climb in a wedding dress. For now I wanted to show off a bit of my black and white work from this wedding. I’m really proud of these four shots and I hope everyone enjoys them. I’ll post a few more color ones from this event soon. Cheers.

This photo shoot started off with weather that was not very promising. It was very grey and looked like it could rain at any moment. What I wanted to do was put off the shoot and wait for better weather. You know, blue skies, big puffy white clouds, those elements that help make for great photography. All three of us found are schedules to be to packed and so a reschedule was not an option. So we prayed and asked for God’s favor and had what turned out to be a dynamic and exciting photo shoot. Found some great locations on The Plaza and then God just sort of opened up the sky towards the end of the evening and we got some amazing silhouette shots with a sunset that summed up God’s love for this couple. Photo shoots are always best when God shows up.
Chris and Lindsey were a blast to work with. Chris has this great New York/New Jersey accent and along with his Italian good looks, he’d be a natural in any mafia movie. But the truth is is that Chris is to kind hearted and humble to ever play a gangster. Lindsey is a ball of energy with a strong personality. She loves life and probably lights up any room that she walks into.
Their wedding is going to be amazing! Can’t wait to serve and capture this special day.

This past week I had the opportunity to work with Marha Fairclough. She works for Onething Ministries and has a desire to pursue acting and media. Marha was wonderful to work with and when I got the lighting just right, the camera loved her like film noir loves Rita Hayworth. We did this shoot at an old military airport base. The area was quite run down but we had the place to ourselves and the place still holds potential for future shoots. I hope to return for more capture soon.

For my first post wanted to post a photo from a photo shoot I did with Marcus Meier and Tim Reimherr from Merchant band. Marcus is one of the highest quality people that I know. This a from a photo shoot that we did on a city bus here in Kansas City, and although the shoot ended up being a bust and we didn’t capture the art direction that we wanted. This Photo really stood out to me in the midst of sifting through the swill. I hope to post some photos from them recording in the studio in the next week.
